Following his successful debut release ‘The Light’, Dutch DJ and producer The Groove Supplier returns to Disco Tropicana Records with another funk and disco inspired dance floor jam. This time, he teamed up with vocalist Yogi to record ‘Star’, a song about falling in love with the most beautiful woman in the discotheque. While ‘Star’ is being released, his previous single ‘The Light’ featuring vocalist Darren Fewins is still heavily supported by funk, funky pop and disco fans across the globe. The single got featured on several Spotify editorial playlists and is receiving significant daily airplay on Dutch radio station Sublime FM.
As a DJ, The Groove Supplier is one of our regular deejays at Disco Tropicana events, always delivering fantastic funk and disco inspired sets. Previously known as D-Reflection, this DJ and producer from Amsterdam was already making moves in the soulful and funky house music scene for years. But while his career developed, so did his taste. Since then, he has welcomed funk, soul, disco and other funky genres into his repertoire. Because of his strong preference for songs with a ‘four-to-the-floor’ beat, catchy vocals, horns, funky bass lines and electronic sounds from eighties funk and disco music (aka songs with a groove in it) – he has adopted the new moniker ‘The Groove Supplier’.
